Liam Connolly

County Fermanagh-based Liam Connolly (Roadfreight) has signed a long-term agreement to be the all-Ireland member of the United Pallet Network (UPN).

The two companies have already worked together for six years, and last year Connolly moved into a six acre facility in Lisnaskea, which has 130,000ft² of warehousing.

Director Darren Connolly said: “We are really pleased to have consolidated our relationship with UPN; it is a high quality organisation, with very good people. We have done everything UPN has asked of us, and this has been reciprocated by the team at UPN who have fully achieved our expectations.

“Being part of UPN gives our customers access to the widest range of UK next day and economy services for palletised freight. They will also be able to send freight in the widest range of freight types, from 150kg up to 1,200kg per pallet,” he added.

David Brown, MD of UPN, said of the long-term agreement that it was “great” that Liam Connolly had committed to an extended relationship as they were “an excellent fit for our network and a tremendous asset”.

At the same time Liam Connolly (Roadfreight) has also signed a deal with Guinness Pro 12 side Ulster RUFC to be its logistics partner for the 2015/16 season.
