Whistl has tripled the size of its Scottish base with a move to a new depot in Tannochside, Uddingston.
The mail delivery firm said its new 54,000ft2 depot is three times the size of its former Scottish home in Coatbridge.
Whistl has been operating in Scotland for nine years, and currently collects and sorts two million items every week, before handing them over to Royal Mail for delivery.
The new Tannochside depot employs 150 people, including roles for young people starting the Whistl apprenticeship scheme.
Whistl chief executive Nick Wells, pictured here opening the new depot with local MP Phil Boswell, said: “The tripling of our capacity in Scotland with Tannochside will allow Whistl to further expand our customer base and continue to provide a high quality and cost efficient service.

Last month Whistl negotiated a deal with former owner PostNL which will see the mail delivery firm gain a controlling stake in the business for the first time.
Previously PostNL held 100% of the company’s shares; after the deal it will retain 17.5% with the rest handing over to Whistl.
