Oldham-based warehousing and distribution firm TT Express has been named the 2015 winner of the Tesco Primary Haulier of the Year award.
The firm clinched the win - which was assessed on various factors including number of loads delivered successfully, overall consistency of service level and quality of communications - at the retailer’s annual Primary Distribution Supplier Conference in Chester on 6 May.
TT Express general manager Vlad Costache said the company, which has embarked on a large-scale business review in the last two years, was “delighted to have had our hard work recognised at this level”.
He added that the award proved recent investments in new vehicles and IT systems had paid off.
TT Express recently brought ten new Renault Range T trucks into service and overhauled its IT infrastructure, including new transport management systems from Mandata, to help improve its overall service levels and communications.
