Maritime Transport has taken delivery of six Lawrence David curtain-sided trailers in Decathlon livery.

Maritime has been working with Decathlon since October 2013 and has a depot  situated close to the retailer’s NDC in Brackmills, Northampton.

Servicing a number of Midlands and Northern stores, the partners said the trailers demonstrate “an ongoing commitment  to work together for the foreseeable future”.

Dave Boomer, MD at Maritime Transport – Distribution, said:  “Decathlon are a key partner for the growth of our distribution operation.

“We are delighted with the opportunity to represent their business with these fantastic looking trailers and hope our partnership can continue to blossom for many years to come.”

Maritime has this year put 200 curtainsiders from Cartwright and Lawrence David on the road with 70 more (from Lawrence David) due before the year’s end.

The company has grown its distribution business into a £50m turnover division of the group, best known for containers, in four years with customers such as Tesco, Amazon and Ikea.

Maritime Transport MD John Williams recently told Motortransport how he’d done it.
