Abbey Logistics Group has become a shareholder member of the Pallet-Track network, which it said will complement the growth of its general haulage division.
The MT Haulier of the Year 2014 will cover the WA postcode region for Wolverhampton-headquarterd Pallet-Track pallet network.
Steve Granite, MD at Bootle, Merseyside-based Abbey, said: “Our general haulage business is growing to become one of the strongest in the North West.
"The move into a nationwide pallet distribution network was the next logical because it will complement our warehouse facilities in the area. We chose Pallet-Track because of the systems it operates and the fact that, like Abbey, it has a forward-thinking culture.”

Abbey operates a fleet of 322 vehicles and 401 trailers across three divisions, along with more than 500,000ft² of warehousing facilities in north-west England.
The company last year boosted its operation with the acquisition of the majority of assets and the customer base of collapsed Seafield Logistics' bulk powder division.
Pallet-Track said Abbey is the sixth operator to join the network in the past six months, following a period of growth for the organisation, which also opened its Scottish and Southern hubs in 2014.
