ACS&T wins five-year frozen bakery deal with Easibake Foods

ACS&T has won a five-year contract with Easibake Foods for distributing its frozen bakery products to fast food stores and supermarkets across the UK.

The new contract will see ACS&T manage outbound deliveries from Easibake Foods’ Welsh plant in Pontypool to customers, delivering around 30 loads a week of speciality breads and baked goods.

It will also involve the creation of a ‘control tower’ operation with ACS&T’s own small core fleet of vehicles based on site at Pontypool, linking in with strategic subcontracted partners for onward transport to foodservice and retail delivery points nationwide.

ACS&T business development director Mike Rice said: “We’re proud to be supporting Easibake. By applying our process-based methodology, we’re confident we’ll be able to add real value to their logistics operation and we look forward to a great partnership.”

Easibake Foods operations director Dermot Dornan added: “What impressed us was ACS&T’s account management methodology, which set out a clearly structured, performance-led project strategy to take the opportunity from the start-up phase to steady state.”
