16) David Hunt, vice president and MD for Ryder Europe
Ryder Europe is the largest rental and leasing provider in the UK of trucks, and the second largest of trailers, and in 2014 it continued to grow, acquiring trailer repair and maintenance company Bullwell Trailer Solutions.
Hunt described the dealer as fitting in with Ryder’s ongoing investment and growth strategy, meaning that Ryder will use its considerable size and influence to stay at or near the top of the rental and leading tree in the UK for many years to come. The company has also embraced Euro-6, utilising its 13 truck multi-marque demonstrator fleet across the country.
Given the size of Ryder’s customer base, this fleet could do more to convert those reticent about the costs associated with the latest emissions regulations to make the leap than many other measures.
