The Quiet Cities video is now live on the event's website, showcasing highlights of November's two-day global summit at Twickenham Stadium.
Speakers including Ian Wainwright, head of fleet and freight transport at TfL; Richard Fleming, logistics director at Sainsbury’s and Tim Slater, MD of transport at DHL Supply Chain in the UK and Ireland, all gave their views on why out-of-hours deliveries are important for the industry and gave examples of how delivering at night can be done in urban areas.
Also on display at the outside exhibition area were Daf’s CF silent truck, Transdek’s Double Deck Urban Eco Trailer, DHL’s gas-powered Scania P-280 and Paneltex’s 7.5-tonne electric truck, among much more of the latest quiet technology. Indoor exhibitors included IMS, Jimmy Beam Downlights and K Hartwall.
