Trailer manufacturer Tiger Trailers has secured an order from 3PL Norbert Dentressangle for three, 15.65m longer semi-trailers.

The trailers will be delivered during February alongside five 13.6m curtainsiders, Tiger Trailers sales director Darren Holland said. They will be used in the 3PL’s operation on behalf of packaging firm DS Smith.

All are built to the European standard EN 12642-XL and feature galvanized end frames, pre-impregnated front panel and rear flush doors, front airfoil, galvanized steel chassis and ‘over chassis beam’ floor design, which provides a flat floor surface sitting above the chassis I-beam.

Commenting on the deal – Tiger’s first with Norbert Dentressangle – Holland said it was one of a number of “fantastic orders from some fantastic organisations” the firm had received recently.

Only last month, Tiger Trailers, which was formed in April by former Cartwright Group joint MDs John and Steven Cartwright, announced a series of orders from operators including Downton, Expert Logistics, B&M and Dee Set.
