Hoyer Petrolog has finished taking delivery of 253 Euro-5 MAN and Scania units, as part of an £8m upgrade to its petroleum, bitumen and fuel oils fleets that began last year.
MANs form the majority of the fleet renewal, accounting for 185 units, with 68 Scanias also coming in, all on a mixture of three, five and seven year leases. It also sees Hoyer Petrolog invest in 111 new petroleum trailers and 26 new bitumen trailers.
Breaking the purchase down Hoyer has taken delivery of 156 MAN TGS 24.440 6x2 units with day cabs, and a further 25 of the same model with sleeper cabs. A further four MANs are TGS 28.440s but 4x2s with day cabs. A total of 55 of the Scanias are P445s with day cabs, and an additional 13 P445s have been taken with sleeper cabs.
Hoyer Petrolog’s total fleet stands at 349 units, and all the units in the order are Euro-5s, with the fleet renewal starting last year running over into this year with Euro-5s taken under derogation.

“Our customers are reaping the rewards of the efficient, cost effective solution we can offer in the management of their fuel delivery network. The full service logistics solution service Hoyer offers is proving increasingly popular and part of our new fleet investment has been made to service this growth and further expansion plans in 2015,” he added.
