The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has appointed Bibby Distribution’s Tony Mohan as its new chairman, taking over from John Maguire who has held the role since 2011.

Mohan joined Bibby Distribution in 1988 and has held various positions within the business, from operational roles through to business development.

He said of his new role: “I am delighted to be playing a part in UKWA’s development and am looking forward to contributing to the association’s success as it faces up to the challenges of the modern logistics industry.”

Roger Williams, UKWA chief executive officer, added: “Tony brings a wealth of third-party logistics industry experience to the chairman’s role, which will prove highly beneficial to the association and our members. I would also like to thank John Maguire for his tireless work on behalf of the association during his time as chairman.”

Founded in 1944, UKWA has more than 600 members providing storage and third-party logistics services.
