APC Overnight is looking to recruit 140 additional staff at its Staffordshire hub this summer off the back of "significant growth" in turnover.

It is looking to expand its workforce at its Cannock HQ by the end of September by creating permanent positions for warehouse operatives and forklift truck drivers.

The company, which won Network of the Year at last year's Motor Transport Awards, claims it has seen consistent month-on-month turnover growth of 20%, enabling it to invest in its workforce and create 200 positions at the site since it opened in June last year.

It is also planning more investment in the hub ahead of this year’s Christmas peak, which currently remain undisclosed.

Last year APC saw pre-tax profit increase 35% and turnover rise by 14%.
