Palletways is to open a new, larger depot in Nijmegen serving the Benelux region.
The 52,400ft² facility is double the size of the previous depot, and there is also a separate 9,000ft² warehouse adjacent to the facility boosting storage further.
As part of the development, the pallet network is offering its Palletways Fulfilment warehousing service at the site- the first time this has operated outside of the UK.
Henk Delleport, Palletways MD in Benelux, said: “Holland is one of the world’s busiest shipping and logistics locations, and with Nijmegen positioned so close to the German border we wanted to ensure that our new distribution centre could handle the ever-growing demands of Europe’s leading pallet network.”
Palletways has 300 depots and 12 hub operations serving 13 European countries.
