Plumb Centre owner Wolseley UK has purchased ten Daf CF85s as part of its fleet replacement programme.
Wolseley, which also owns the Pipe Center and Drain Center trade brands, delivers more than 7,000 orders each day to around 6,000 locations. It operates 882 commercial vehicles, including 165 semi-trailers.
The trucks have been purchased outright from dealerships Adams Morey in Southampton and Lancashire DAF in Lancashire.
Alan Newton, head of distribution and fleet management at Wolseley UK, said of the Euro-6 trucks: “These new vehicles represent a significant investment into our fleet and demonstrate our commitment to having the most efficient operating model and continuously improving our environmental performance.”
Five of the vehicles will go to Wolseley UK’s Worcester DC, and five to the Melmerby DC in North Yorkshire, and should be on the road now.
