Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire heavy construction specialist Roger Bullivant has just brought six new Euro-6 Daf XF 6x2 midlift tractive units into service.
The trucks, purchased from Derby dealer Imperial Commercials for just over £89,000 apiece, all have Daf's Super Space Cab and are powered by the MX-13 510hp engine coupled with AS Tronic automated transmission. All have been specified to the Crossrail standard including nearside proximity sensors and left turn audible warning alarm.
The six trucks will be operating at 44 tonnes GVW on low loading work such as the transport of piling rigs, said Bullivant transport manager Nick Coleman. Each one is expected to cover around 100,000 miles a year.
