Knights of Old has entered into partnership with German operator Transland Spedition, which will allow it to offer daily departures to all European capitals. The Kettering-based operator believes the deal will help it accommodate its existing business in the Hesse region of Germany, and offer quicker transport times for German distribution. Hermes Group, parent company of UK parcel carrier Hermes Parcelnet, has seen “significant growth” in turnover for the twelfth year running, which it attributed to the rapidly growing e-commerce sector.
Knights of Old (KOO) was founded in 1865 by William Knight with a single horse and cart, and has grown steadily and today runs 169 trucks and 185 trailers.
