Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) has struck a deal with wholesaler Palmer and Harvey to take over some of its direct service delivery operations.
The drinks manufacturer revealed plans to axe its direct-to-store delivery operations earlier this year as it looked to improve efficiency.
A CCE spokesman said: “Palmer and Harvey has signed an agreement with Coca-Cola Enterprises in Great Britain to take over product delivery on a non-exclusive basis for its direct service delivery customers.”
The agreement will cover deliveries for the leisure, transport and foodservice sectors in the UK and follows a strategic review of its operations, he added.
In April, CCE said the changes would affect its sites in East Kilbride, Bristol, Northampton, Wakefield, Sidcup and an unspecified site in north London.
The spokesman did not comment on whether any other wholesalers have been chosen to take on other deliveries from the own-account operator.
