Meachers Global Logistics has netted a three-year contract extension with packaging company Huhtamaki (UK).
Gosport-based Huhtamaki manufactures plastic and paper packaging for FMCG, fresh foods and the catering sector.
The partners have worked together since 2007, and with the latest contract extension Meachers will now provide all of Huhtamaki’s external warehousing requirements. Meachers wil continue to run a “significant” number of full and part-loads for its client daily to locations across the UK.
Gary Owen, UK supply chain manager at Huhtamki, said: “Meachers has continued to provide Huhtamaki with an excellent service throughout the contract period.
“Our decision to re-appoint Meachers was based on a number of commercial factors, but primarily the close working partnership we have developed over the last seven years.”
