Yearsley Logistics has completed the first phase of its new £20m northern ‘superhub’ in Heywood, Greater Manchester. Chilled food distribution specialist NFT has seen its turnover and pre-tax profit rise at the same time as signing a five-year refinancing package with HSBC. Turnover increased by 8% to £152.4m for the year-ending 31 March, from £140.9m a year ago. Pre-tax profit rose 60% from £1.4m to £2.2m. Controlled temperature specialist Langdons saw a 13.7% increase in turnover as it felt the benefit of a £9m investment it its Redditch depot. For the year ending 31 December 2011 turnover at Langdons Industries was £67.5m (2010: £59.4m), while pre-tax profit rose to £2.7m from £2.1m in the previous 12 month period.
