Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Dr. Detlef Trefzger as its CEO, following the departure of former group CEO Reinhard Lange earlier this year.
The former executive vice president of K+N’s contract & integrated logistics division will take up his new position with immediate effect, but will still be responsible for the former division until further notice.
Karl Gernandt, chairman and interim CEO of Kuehne + Nagel said: “We are convinced that Detlef Trefzger will maintain the continuity of leadership and direction of our company, while at the same time injecting new ideas to ensure its future, successful development.”
Lange stepped down from his position for health reasons in May, but will continue in a consultancy position until his contract is terminated on 31 December.
