UK diesel rose for the second month in a row during July, rising 2.0% to 111.86 ppl. Crude oil prices were higher compared to the previous month.
Some tightness in supply appeared to impact while geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and North Africa looked to offer support. Broader financial market sentiment also appeared to have a bearing. The relative strength of the underlying price of crude oil could be offset by any strengthening in the exchange rate.
