Hermes wins three-year home delivery contract with Chums

Hermes has won a three-year contract with mail order clothing retailer Chums to handle over 250,000 home deliveries a year.

The parcel carrier will make daily collections using a dedicated trailer from Chums’ warehouse at Knowsley Business Park in Merseyside.

Parcels of menswear, ladieswear and lifestyle products will then be trunked to Hermes’ Warrington hub, where they will be sorted and distributed to regional depots for two-day delivery.

Chums’ finance director Robert Burton said the retailer selected Hermes as it delivers “consistently high levels of service” and value for money.

Hermes’ sales director Gary Winter said: “Our flexible and affordable service offers a convenient and hassle-free delivery experience that achieves high levels of satisfaction and ultimately creates brand value.”

Winter added that Hermes is now making more than 170 collections and deliveries on behalf of retailers.
