Aspray new livery

Aspray Transport is awaiting the completion of its 18-acre expanded Willenhall, West Midlands hub, which is due to be unveiled next month.

The hub, which was extended after the company saw an increase in UK next day volumes from both new and existing customers, has been extended by 6 acres and will see eave height rise to 17.5m.

Both warehouse and operational space has been increased and the company has developed 40 extra parking spaces for trailers.

MD Stuart Laight said: “While it has been a difficult year, we have seen a good increase in UK next day volumes with growth in double digits year-on-year.”

The development began in October and the company had initially planned for the hub to be operational by June, however wintery weather had delayed building work.

Aspray is also continuing with an expansion plan across its network and has already moved its Cardiff site to larger premises in Q1. It is also in the process of moving its Avonmouth site to larger premises and plans to move its Manchester site later this year.

Plans to expand three more sites next year have also been laid out.

To mark its 30 year anniversary this year, the operator is rolling out a new livery (pictured) as well as trying to raise £30,000 for three charities; Help for Heroes, Macmillan and Association of Air Ambulances.
