This year’s shortlist for the Everywoman Awards is “proof that there are no barriers to success in the industry if you are committed and have the drive to succeed”, according to Maxine Benson, co-founder of Everywoman.

The awards, which take place at the Savoy Hotel in London on 16 May, shine a spotlight on the women who are destroying the misconceptions that the transport and logistics industry is a male-dominated environment.

For the first time, the overall awards are sponsored by the FTA and chief executive Theo de Pencier said the association is delighted to be supporting the event. “The industry cannot be passive in attracting women, and these awards are the perfect opportunity to showcase how women can make a career in transport a successful and fulfilling one,” he said.

Motortransport.co.uk is supporting the awards for the sixth year as media partner and will announce the winners on  the day of the awards.
