Wincanton has won a six year warehousing and distribution contract with Basmati rice producer Tilda.
The contract covers collection from Tilda’s two production sites in Rainham, Essex and storage at Wincanton’s shared-user site in nearby West Thurrock.
The firm will also pick and distribute products by the case and pallet to Tilda’s customers across the UK and Europe using dedicated vehicles, its own fleet and subcontractors. It will also manage shipping to the USA.
Tilda chose Wincanton as it shared the firm’s commitment to reducing its impact on the environment.
