Mitsubishi Electric Europe has renewed its contract with Norbert Dentressangle for another five years.

Norbert handles the distribution of products including air conditioning units, display screens and industrial automation equipment for Mitsubishi Electric Europe's UK division.

The operator has held the contract since 2008 and in this time has extended its services to include deliveries across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, using a dedicated 16-strong fleet of 7.5 tonne and 18 tonne vehicles, as well as subcontractors.

The firms have recently invested in a 12 tonne Daf LF Hybrid to service the contract, which also covers delivery of up to 300 parcels a day, timed deliveries and crane lifting.

Mitsubishi Electric’s European logistics manager, Mark Foscoe, said: “Norbert Dentressangle have given us a very good, reliable service through the core distribution operation, their ability to take on and manage additional activities and through our shared commitment to the environment.”

So far this year, Norbert has also won contracts with building products manufacturer Timloc, commercial refrigeration firm Valera and a storage contract medical and industrial cleaning products manufacturer Ecolab.
