The road transport industry is being urged to play its part in attracting more women to the sector by entering this year’s Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.

“The annual awards, sponsored this year by the FTA, demonstrate that the sector suits women and is one in which they can excel,” said Maxine Benson, co-founder of Everywoman. “The awards prove that there are no limits for women in transport and logistics – all previous winners having made an outstanding contribution to their field.”

She added that the Everywoman Awards are not just for the most senior, or the most high profile women. “The categories reflect excellence across a range of roles, including rising stars, drivers, warehouse workers, and team leaders – and they represent both large and small companies.”

There are seven categories to choose from and entry closes on Monday 11 February. To put yourself forward, or nominate a colleague, go to the everywoman.com awards page.

Winners will be announced at an awards lunch at the Savoy Hotel, London, on 16 May 2013.
