CitySprint has introduced a one-hour delivery-window service for retailers, allowing them to offer greater flexibility in regards customer deliveries.

The MyTime service, launched by the same day courier yesterday, allows customers to choose a specific time and date for delivery: including same day, next day, or delivery on another date specified by the customer.

The service, which the courier firm hopes will boost customer satisfaction and therefore loyalty amongst its retail clients, also provides the option to track a parcel from the moment of order.

Chief executive Patrick Gallagher said: “Consumers expect more delivery convenience and putting the customer first is about providing delivery choices which suits their needs."

CitySprint is the second parcel carrier to provide a service that  allows customers to choose their delivery time.  DPD launched its Predict service last year, which uses text or email to allow a customer to change their one-hour delivery slot.
