Norbert Dentressangle has had its contract with alcoholic drinks distributor Maxxium UK extended until June 2014.

The new contract will see the introduction of radio communication technology and a new bonded warehouse management system to improve efficiency.

“We have an extremely positive, healthy and honest relationship with Norbert Dentressangle and consider them a genuinely strategic business partner as we continue to evolve and grow,” Gary Thomson, business services controller for Maxxium UK, said.

Since the late 1990s, Norbert Dentressangle has provided a variety of services for the drinks company, including re-packing products from large to smaller cases, packing gift packs, adding neck collars and building display units, as well as warehousing and distribution.

They will deliver more than five million cases to retailers and wholesalers per year and will have overall responsibility for Maxxium’s national logistics operation.

Maxxium UK is one of the top three largest spirits distributors, responsible for the sales and marketing of drinks brands such as The Famous Grouse, Teachers and Jim Beam.
