Freight and warehousing specialists Europa Worldwide Logistics has opened a new £20m purpose-built distribution centre in Birmingham.
Constructed in just 24 weeks, the new 155,000ft² facility at ProLogis Park, Minworth, brings together a number of the company's operating divisions under one roof, including European express, seafreight, national distribution, exhibition and project forwarding and logistics services.
The firm, which has been running for nearly 50 years, has been operating from Birmingham since 1985. The Minworth facility employs 100 staff, has 15,000 pallet locations, 25,000ft2 of bulk storage and 50,000ft² for transit operations.
