Yearsley liveried Scania truck

Yearsley Group has introduced a new global logistics and freight-forwarding service.

The group says it can now offer customers a complete logistics operation from pick-up overseas (via partners) and import via air or sea, to delivery through its UK distribution network.

The Lancashire firm says the new service will enhance its domestic port-side collection and delivery operation.

It anticipates high demand from its UK manufacturing customers wishing to reduce the number of operators they use throughout a product’s journey.

Tim Moran, logistics sales director at Yearsley, says: “Global logistics and freight forwarding is a complex business and can involve half-a-dozen different organisations from source to factory.

"This not only allows for cost inefficiencies but can also create a lot of red tape and stresses between the different suppliers.”
